4 empty boxes in a row, and about a dozen in 20 kills. Still needs looking at, evidently.

Only Tonic's Tonic, but that doesn't leave a marker.
It offered me the fix this time, but after the fix, the conversation box remained, with no way to close it, so I had to exit the game. The quest marker was successfully removed.
Don't shoot me - the manifest was in the bank! I must have thought it was that other fellow's recommendation letter.

I visited the lab coat pony, who sent me upstairs to the second pony. Visited her too. The MARKER then moved to Check List. Check list says what I said above. The End. The two ponies previously mentioned will NOT interact re the quest if approached again.
When talking to Old Quest Marker Fix, the Forest Frenzy fix does not appear for the pony with the problem, but did for another pony without the issue??!!
It appears "field" type skills cause it. I have also seen it when a dragon was partially under a hill and hit the boundary between that hill and the flat ground. (last tested on 0.1.10)
Re quest marker fix:
He offers "Welcome to Equestria" and "Graduation Finished but Seeing Doubles".
It appears I was mistaken and it is a different quest that has fouled up on my ponies: "An Equestrian Werepony in the Evershade". I am left with "Meet your friends in the Evershade Woods" marker (on two ponies).
and on a different account: "Forest Frenzy" meet your class at the library. I've graduated already, so that is stuck. Quest Marker Fix offers me "Graduation Finished but Seeing Doubles" as the only fix.
- Initially the marker to the north - lanterns - was not appearing.

And another issue - playing the ground team - a guard came past as I was engaging the cockatrices. They raced towards the guard and were killed. Result - another stuck marker and another @#$% quest that I cannot complete. That bring it to 6 failed attempts now.

And this time I have waited well over 30 minutes and am still being told it is not ready. For something that sells itself as "it will only be a minute, don't go too far", this is either extremely bugged, or just plain ridiculous.

Only some flavors work, but it remains about the only way to kill that level 65 dragon.
A multiple kill with a skill such as Stored Strike is still causing the issue.
This is still happening. Ver 0.1.10.
This is STILL happening in version 0.1.10
Particularly noticeable where there are dozens of hornets and Rock Golum Pegasi. You fight against and take down a Golum, with any attack that may kill two or more enemies, and hornet suddenly rushes in. You won't get the XP or drop from the golum. Instead you get the XP and 2 bits of the Hornet. If you kill two dragons, timber wolves etc., this is also a frequent occurrence. In fact, it is common for one of the enemies to vanish completely, as if it did not exist, and you get only one drop and XP reward.
the MOST ANNOYING thing about this is you ALWAYS get the LOWEST drop and XP.

This includes the two that are not near the hornets. Defeat them one at a time, and still get empty loot boxes.

The pony in the quest SAYS SHE IS GIVING YOU BITS. So either the quest needs to give bits, or the pony needs to change what it says.

Dorumon21, it happens when I don't use Home Field Advantage at all. Conversely, once I have been able to kill one that was locked in place by it when I came back later.
That would be earth pony skills - animal, combat, medical and party based.
Tests so far:
Seismic buck did it. Locked up with full health.
Alternating between Home field advantage and Pillow Barrage did it. (not sure which) Locked up with 1/4 health.
Pretty much all of them, but concentrating on party, animal and medical skills.
It is possible Triage was giving them a health boost (I've had that happen without a lockup), but not sure if that was the cause. I haven't been able to narrow it down to a particular skill. Sometimes they lock up without their health boosting too. In the last couple days, it's happening more and more often. I locked three Birch in a row a few hours ago.

I logged in later and it had "self resolved" unless you did a bug fix since then. Also 200 XP for all that running around? Its a bit stingy for an hour or so of play time.

Quest remains bugged. Visited Tonic, Marvel, Linguini in that order. Had to go back to Tonic (who just exchanged greetings, but was now marked as visited) and again to Marvel (and redo the dialog). Quest then completed correctly. This quest has bugged the three times I have played it.

Apparently an effect created by a deliberate programming change. XP is being awarded. It just took a very long time to climb out of the -40000+ point hole.
Apparently this was a deliberate act on the part of the programmers. As such, not a bug. All the same, getting above level 1 takes much too long!
According to the Wiki, one needs to talk to the general before the lieutenant. I missed that step, and it allowed me to complete the quest BUT as the player above says, the quest marker to the general remains permanently.
The issue persists from the "Talk to Pyrite again" step of the quest. It isn't cleared after he is spoken to.
