I Talked to Crypt Keeper and a Bad Thing Happened

Description

What is happening:
text boxes are breaking - see screenshot

What should be happening:
text should work normally

Steps to reproduce the issue:
talk to Crypt Keeper.
if it helps / matters, i got candy from Starburst Nova, Unnecessary Justice, and Well Wishes -- once for each pony, before talking to Crypt Keeper. i am playing on a unicorn character at this moment.

update: at this point i'm missing large portions of the story. i clicked a few more times and have no idea what is happening anymore. Crypt Keeper has been replaced with more text:
