Quest Objective Marker Population Problem
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

What is happening:
Upon initiating the 'Are You A Princess Too?' quest, many many quest markers became populated in the minimap. I though it was a prank at first because an old marker from another bugged quest was still visible, and there was only one other visible marker in Cantermore that pointed to the waterfalls behind the bunny garden, but when I traveled elsewhere, the markers were highlighting a good chunk of other NPCs (not all of them), as well as placing a dummy marker in some maps that pointed to nothing (Gem Mines being a good example).

I talked to the quest marker fixer, who now had an option that explained about the joke, but this option didn't change any of my active markers.

What should be happening:
If there's a joke, that's cool, but I don't think this is the desired behavior.
As part of the quest, the two foals I had to find did receive overhead quest markers either.

Steps to reproduce the issue:
Reset quest 'Are You A Princess Too?'
Talk to Micro Transaction and start the quest by offering help

No screengrabs this time, sorry.

Wow! That's not at all a joke. I've had similar reports from Rehearsal Roundup, but not other quests. What client version are you using and what operating system? What is the old quest marker that was still visible? And what are any other quests that you have open?

Interesting...Not sure if the updates did the trick, but my quest markers (well...at least the new ones that shouldn't be there) are back to what they were previously.

What client version are you using and what operating system?
The current build as of writing this (2018-03-02), though today it did take another update from the launcher (.4), but the build number didn't change.

The launcher is grabbing the Windows x64 builds.
I'm on Windows 10.0.16299.309 64-bit edition.

What is the old quest marker that was still visible?
Sugar - After talking to Stump (the second time) the quest marker disappeared from the minimap but still remain over his head. I believe I was still able to complete this by talking to Shelly afterwards, then I went back to Wobble Bass and completed it, which the Journal shows, but I have an incomplete task for "Talk to Stump and Shelly."

Chlorophiliac - After talking to Klondike about the gems, the quest marker dissapeared from the minimap but still appears over his head. I was able to retreive all the ingredients regardless and as such complete the quest, which the Journal shows, but I have an incomplete task now for "Ask Klondike where gems are."

Supplying The Hospital - After talking to Marvell I got the weird large quest marker. I did get the materials and as such was able to complete the quest, which the Jornal entry reflects, but the tasks for that quest are stuck incomplete at "Talk to Marvell."

And what are any other quests that you have open?
I believe at this point I have actually finished all the quests that I can complete. There are a few that I cannot start either because they are foal quests, they are out of season (Got the Bat Pony and princess costumes, but not the Reindeer one) or talking to the character about it doesn't trigger the quest (Loadsa Monet comes to mind).
