Adding onto that, when you open the NPC they give you some regular dialogue i.e. "parasprite ate your homework?"

Just completed this quest as well. I also had a quest marker for Starburst Nova, but the map marker for this particular character did not show. When completing this task in the quest, your return task populates and is marked on the map as expected.
